Beans, beans the magical fruit
The more to eat the more you toot
The more you toot the better you feel
So lets have beans for every meal

"Reality is like a fine wine....It will not appeal to children" -Donald Miller Searching for God Knows What
Today a friend told me she knows God has to be bigger than the little thing she has in a box because if he's not "honestly I just don't want to serve him anymore. What's the point?" I think she's in a good place. She knows He is bigger than how she percieves Him and is on a quest to find out the truth. She's challenging ideals the church has fed her since she was young to fine out whats true and what's not. I'm proud of her!
I'm becoming spiritually well again and it feels good. I haven't felt loved like this in a while. I love the peace He brings me.

cnn.com keeps me updated

Google made me register with them before allowing me to enter my own blog. That took me off guard.

So here I am, in Columbia, sitting in a freshly painted room the color of Dulce de Leche. It kind of makes me miss Argentina because they are obsessed with dulce de leche there (its similar to caramel). It will feel like home before too long. Its already starting to get there.

"Does God do this in other places or does this only happen here?" she asked as she pulled up fistfuls of ashy vegetation.
Hortensia Chicaiza and her husband searched desperately through an ash-covered field for food for her livestock. (a couple from Ecuador after the volcano Tungurahua erupted). My heart is heavy for them. This picture is from its erruption in 1991. It doesn't even look real, more like computer graphics. Those poor people.....

Earlier this summer as an ambulance drove by the pizzaria I was working at a boy about 4 years of age repeated very softly to himself 5 times or so "God bless those people." He unknowingly touched me.
